Bakhoor cakes are warmed on a lit charcoal disc. One cake scents a room for 30–45 minutes.
What you need
A heat-safe burner, a charcoal disc and a tweezer. Every 60g box includes 5 charcoal discs and a tweezer; the burner is not included. The Discovery Kit and the Starter Set include a burner.
Five steps
- Place. Set 1/4th of a charcoal disc in the burner.
- Light. Hold a flame to the edge until it sparks.
- Wait. A grey film spreads across the disc in 10–15 seconds. When it covers the whole charcoal, you are ready.
- Add. With the tweezer, place one bakhoor cake on the charcoal.
- Enjoy. Fragrance fills the room. Let it burn out on its own.
Safety
Charcoal can stay hot for up to 2 hours after the glow fades. Keep the burner on a heat-safe surface, away from curtains, children and pets.
